How does Network Ready work with the Specialty Vertical Device(SVD) program and the Network Compatible program?
Network Ready is an evolution of the device certification program that AT&T has had in place for the last five years, and now replaces the Network Compatible and Specialty Vertical Device programs. It provides technical support and testing to determine that a GSM-based device will do no harm to the AT&T network. At AT&T we are working to best support partner device testing needs by continually improving our programs.

PTCRB ( an independent organization that sets standards for GSM networks and devices in North America) requires that all integrated devices be tested to ensure that the devices interact properly on the network.

What is the cost of AT&T network compatibility testing?
For manufacturers using pre-certified modules, there is no cost for testing on the AT&T network. There are, however, fees associated with obtaining an FCC ID and PTCRB certification.

How long does it take to attain AT&T Network Ready certifications?
The testing duration for a device depends on several factors, including device complexity, the number of issues that arise during testing and the number of devices in the AT&T Network Ready testing queue. Once accepted into the lab, Network Ready device certification generally takes four weeks.
