What is Call Waiting?
Call Waiting lets you receive an incoming call when you're already engaged in a conversation on your wireless device. After a notification, you can put the first call on hold and answer the second call. You can also decide not to accept the second call and route it to voicemail. You will incur airtime and any applicable long distance and roaming charges for both calls simultaneously.
Answering a Second Call
To answer a second call, press the Send, OK, or Talk key on your phone for one half-second. This places your first call on hold so you can take the incoming call. To alternate between calls, press the Send, OK, or Talk key again.
Using Call Waiting
For step-by-step instructions on using Call Waiting on your phone, go to our Phone/Device Learning Center/Tutorials, select the manufacturer and model of your device, then review the Call Waiting/3-Way Calling tutorial under Calling Features.
