All the content categories you are accustomed to seeing such as News, Business, Lifestyle, Shopping, Real Estate, Home & Garden, etc. will still be available, although some of the content providers may change. They're located in prominent sections throughout the home page, as well as organized into an alphabetical listing of "category" links on the left side of the page for easy access. Remember, you'll be able to add content easily by clicking "Add Content" on the top of the home page.
Calendar entries will be moved automatically for you during the upgrade. The photos you have stored on the current home page, your Stock Portfolio data and the AT&T Message Boards will be available to you after your upgrade from the att.net "A-Z Browse All" page.
Settings you have established for weather, stock watch, links, lottery, and horoscope will NOT automatically move to the new home page. All these features are available on the new home page so if you use them now and want to continue using them, remember to take note of your settings so you can input them on the new home page after you upgrade. Your horoscope and weather settings will be set by the Date of Birth and Zip Code information in your account profile and can be easily changed.
Cosmetic settings such as color and content view will NOT be moved automatically but you will be able to customize your new home page based on a wide variety of content, theme and color choices.
No. Once your upgrade is completed you will not be able to move back.
Yes, for an overview of features available on the new home page click here. You can visit the new site by going to http://att.net. Clicking on the "En Espanol" link on the att.net homepage will take the user to AT&T's Spanish language homepage at http://elportal.att.net. E-mail and Communication
No, there will be no changes to your AT&T email IDs. You will continue to use the same email address.
Your current settings will continue to work and no updates will be required at this time. But please note: to improve the e-mail experience for all customers, we will be advising customers about preferred e-mail settings and providing an easy tool that will upgrade your settings for you automatically. Watch for further mailings on this topic later in 2010

If you need full instructions for how to set-up your email client go to:
http://support.att.com/emailsettings
If you use an email client and have the configuration set to "leave a copy of messages on server," please be advised that email messages in your inbox folder will be retrieved again by your email client as a result of the move to the email system and will appear as a one time duplicated messages. Messages in other folders will not be retrieved again.
You may want to make adjustments to your new email options as detailed below. You can make these updates through the Options menu in webmail once your upgrade is completed.
- Because our Spam filters adapt themselves to your use, some members may at first see more unwanted messages in the inbox than they are used to. If you use AT&T Webmail, just be sure to put a check next to each unwanted message and hit the button labeled Spam.
- We recommend that, once a week or so, members look in their Spam folder in Webmail. This is the folder where we put messages that we "suspect" are spam. If you find that a message you want has been put in the Spam folder, be sure click the button labeled Not Spam. (In Mail Classic, you will need to open the message to find the Not Spam button.)
- Email client users (e.g. Outlook Express) should create a local client folder (e.g. Junk Mail) and set-up a rule to deliver all messages with "Bulk" in the "Subject Line" to this folder. This will provide an easy way for you to see all messages locally and understand how they are being filtered. Note: AT&T mail powered by Yahoo! attaches the Bulk designation to messages suspected as spam. To stop the suspected Spam delivery to your email client, you can edit your options through the Webmail Options Menu.
- To prevent abuse of the system, AT&T email powered by Yahoo! will sometimes limit the number of messages you can send out and/or the number of recipients on one message. If a large mailing is blocked, try breaking your list of addresses into two or more smaller groups and re-send.
Your current settings will continue to work and no updates should be required at this time. Please note that as technologies change, updates to your settings may be required to make full use of our network. Please watch for further information on the topic of e-mail settings, later in 2010.
If you experience difficulties sending and receiving email after your upgrade click here for full instructions on how to update your mail settings to the most current settings available.
