AT&T Aspire: Supports Major Education Research Initiative
Through AT&T Aspire, AT&T commissioned an important new chapter of educational research on the high school dropout issue.
The research, entitled On the Front Lines of Schools, in partnership with America's Promise Alliance, was conducted by John Bridgeland, CEO of Civic Enterprises and author of the seminal education study The Silent Epidemic, with Peter Hart Research.
This research, focusing on the practitioner perspective, falls in line with two other seminal education studies: The Silent Epidemic, which focused on the student perspective, and One Dream, Two Realities, which focused on the parent perspective. This new study, On the Front Lines of Schools, rounds out this critical series of reports, which together represent all the key voices — students, parents and teachers.
Results of this national research were launched on June 4, 2009.
