Susan Johnson

Susan Johnson

Senior Vice President – Investor Relations

Susan Johnson was appointed AT&T’s senior vice president of Investor Relations in February 2012. She is responsible for designing and communicating consistent investment messaging for new and existing investors, including the development of the quarterly earnings materials and annual financial guidance metrics. Susan and her team represent AT&T to the investment community, including Wall Street research analysts and institutional investors.

Susan joined Pacific Telesis Group in 1994 in Corporate Development and has served in a variety of positions within the AT&T portfolio of companies. She served as the head of AT&T’s Corporate Strategy group and as senior vice president of Business Development, with responsibility for developing new revenue opportunities through the application of emerging technologies. She most recently served as the senior vice president of Customer Information Services where she was responsible for the operations of several legacy businesses including: directory assistance, operator services and relay services across AT&T.

Before joining the AT&T family of companies, Susan was an investment banker at Smith Barney, Inc. in the San Francisco Technology Group, where she provided a range of financial advisory services to communications and technology clients. Susan directed several growth companies through an initial public offering of stock and served as an advisor on merger and acquisition transactions. Prior to business school, she also worked in Smith Barney’s New York office as an analyst in the leveraged buyout/high yield debt area.

Susan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised on the East Coast. She holds a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Susan lives in Dallas with her husband, Sean, and two children, Cassandra and Danielle. She is an active runner and cyclist.
