      • Password/security recommendations: For your security, you should change your temporary password immediately, even if you are not yet using your mailbox. When choosing a password, do not use your telephone or mailbox number (or any part of the telephone or mailbox number) as part of the password. Do not repeat digits (e.g. 4444), do not use sequential digits (e.g. 1234) and do not use easily identifiable numbers (e.g. zip code, street address, etc). Treat your password as you would your ATM pin. Select a password of at least six digits, up to a maximum of 15. For added security, you should change your password periodically and check your greetings to make sure they have not been changed.

      • Your greeting can be up to four minutes long.
    6. Set up your Extension Mailboxes.

      • Press 2 9, follow the prompts and remember to record a greeting on the Host mailbox that informs callers of the additional mailboxes.
      • Messages can only be sent to other Voice Mail subscribers within your local calling area, via the Host mailbox. Host and Extension Mailboxes can also message each other; however, Extension Mailboxes have limited messaging capability.
    7. Set up Pager Notification
      • Press 2 4 and follow the prompts to turn Pager Notification on.
      • You must set up your pager schedule in order for pager notification to work.
      • Please contact the Voice Mail Helpline at 1-800-223-9960 to set up pager notification initially.
      • Note: Pager Notification only works with AT&T Paging Services (may not be available in all areas).
  • Listening To Your Messages

    2. If you are away from home, dial your access number, enter your home telephone number, beginning with your area code, and press #. Or, dial your home phone number and press 9 at any time during your greeting.
    3. Enter your password.
    4. Your new messages will begin to play automatically.
      • After each message you can choose to save, delete or replay the message.
      • If no response is made after three seconds, your message will automatically be saved and your next message will begin to play.

*If you have measured telephone service, applicable local usage charges will apply when you retrieve your messages, or otherwise access your mailbox. Applicable local usage charges apply when any caller leaves or attempts to leave you a message. If the Call Forwarding number assigned to your area is a local toll call, you are charged the applicable local toll rate when callers deposit messages and when you retrieve messages or otherwise access your mailbox.
