Wireless/Mobility Solutions
AT&T is a leading wireless carrier based on subscribers, offering a wide variety of wireless voice and data solutions for enterprise customers.
Our unified wired and wireless salesforce makes it simple and seamless for business customers to buy all of their services from a single point of contact.
We help businesses integrate wireless technologies, services and devices with existing voice and data networking capabilities. We provide seamless access to corporate networks, from virtually anywhere, anytime, regardless of the device.
AT&T has the best international coverage of any carrier worldwide. Our nationwide GSM/GPRS (Global Standard for Mobile Communications / General Packet Radio Service) footprint covers 100 percent of our service area. GSM is the world's most popular wireless phone technology, used by more than 3.8 billion worldwide.
We also provide the largest national high speed wireless data network — the EDGE (Enhanced Datarate for GSM Evolution) network — available in 13,000 cities and along almost 40,000 miles of U.S. highways.
With the largest international coverage of any U.S. wireless carrier, we enable customers to make calls on all seven continents and in more than 215 countries. We also enable wireless data-roaming in more than 185 countries for laptops, BlackBerry devices, Smart Devices and other data services and third-generation (3G) service in more than 100 countries.
Supercharging our EDGE network, we have rolled out our 3G BroadbandConnect service, which uses UMTS/HSPA (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System/High Speed Packet Access) technology. This worldwide standard for wide-area wireless data communication is based on the GSM standard.
We were the first wireless carrier in the world to widely deploy HSPA technology, which enables customers to download and upload photos, videos, and other content from their wireless phones and PCs.
AT&T completed the first High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA)-enabled network in the United States in June 2008. The deployment completes the transition of the AT&T 3G network to HSPA standards, marking the only full transition by any U.S. wireless provider to this latest generation of wireless broadband capabilities.
To address the unique needs of business customers, we offer a wide variety of wireless voice and data services, devices and service plans for enterprise customers through our Enterprise Mobility Solutions portfolio.
