The AT&T* portfolio of Global Mobile ManagementTM services has earned recognition from Current Analysis, a leading industry analyst firm. In the recent report, Global Managed Mobility Services Roundup (Early) 2011,1 Current Analysis ranked AT&T as a top competitor in the managed mobility space, citing innovation, telecom expense management and logistics as a few of its core strengths.
The report highlights AT&T’s eye for innovation in the mobility space, marked by its development of the AT&T Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (AT&T MEAP) in October 2009. Current Analysis designated AT&T as the “first mover” in MEAP, which has today evolved into a comprehensive platform that enables businesses to design, build, deploy, and manage mobile applications.
AT&T also leads the competitive landscape in value-added services, according to the report. Current Analysis’s Kathryn Weldon writes, “AT&T has seen excellent traction for its Global Mobility Management service that provides TEM (Telecom Expense Management) and logistics over the last six to 12 months, and is not only supporting U.S. customers with locations in 50 countries, but is also seeing significant uptake among non U.S.-based MNCs (Multi-National Corporations).”
AT&T’s progress and growth in global mobile management during 2010 led Current Analysis to raise its rating of the company, placing AT&T in the top tier along with only two other communications providers.
