AT&T* today announced the availability of its mobile broadband network in Neosho, extending access for advanced mobile services, devices and feature-rich audio and video content to customers in the area. AT&T is also expanding its mobile broadband coverage in Joplin.

This network upgrade results from the investment AT&T makes year over year in communities all across the country. In just the first six months of this year, AT&T invested nearly $225 million in its wireless and wireline networks to continue improving customer service in Missouri. The company invested nearly $75 million in its Missouri wireless network in the first half of 2010.
“As policymakers, we try to make decisions that encourage businesses to invest in Missouri. Investments like this will help strengthen Neosho’s economy, attract new business and provide the latest technology to our residents,” said State Representative Bill Reiboldt.
AT&T’s mobile broadband network is based on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) family of technologies that includes GSM and UMTS, the most widely used wireless network platforms in the world.
