AT&T Opens New Retail Store in Irving

Store Offers Hands-on, Inter active Experience

Irving, Texas, November 16, 2011

AT&T* today announced it has opened a new  4,710-square-foot retail store in Irving to address the growing demand for advanced wireless and wired products and services. The new store is at 7800 N. MacArthur Blvd Suite 150 in the MacArthur Crossing Shopping Center. 

"We are proud to have a new AT&T store in our city to meet the needs of our businesses and residents.  This new state-of-the art interactive store will complement Irving's forward-thinking high-technology based community," said Chris Wallace, President/CEO of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber.

The new retail store features a state-of-the-art, hands-on design to engage shoppers and provide a “try before you buy” service experience. Trained consultants will provide demonstrations of a wide range of products and services, including the latest in mobile devices, such as the new 4G LTE smartphones and tablets.

Customers can also test drive various wireless data applications, including AT&T Navigator which provides GPS navigation with turn-by-turn directions, or AT&T Family Map, a family locator service designed to help give parents peace of mind.

“We are focused on making our customers’ in-store experience exceptional, and that begins with a convenient store location, simplistic layout and knowledgeable staff,” said Adam Vital, vice president and general manager for AT&T in North Texas. “As part of the Irving community, we’re always looking for new opportunities to provide an enhanced customer experience and our investment in the new retail store is just one way we’re accomplishing that.  Customers can try out our newest line-up of quick messaging devices and smartphones when they visit this Irving location, and we will continue in our efforts to give consumers convenient access to the latest in communications and entertainment services.”

The Irving store is led by Jeff Beavers along with a staff of 25 employees who are trained to assist both consumer and business customers with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8  p.m. and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.  The phone number is 972-444-9147.
