AT&T Named Top Organization for Multicultural Business Opportunities

Recognizing AT&T’s supplier diversity efforts, DiversityBusiness.com awarded the company the top spot in the “Top 50 Organizations for Multicultural Business Opportunities,” for providing the most business opportunities to diverse business owners throughout the United States.

AT&T spent $9.2 billion with diverse suppliers in 2010 representing 18.8 percent of the company’s total spend. AT&T’s supplier diversity goal is 21.5 percent of its spend with diverse suppliers.

AT&T was chosen after 1.2 million diversity business owners participated in an online election to determine the top buyers of diversity products and services in the country.
