AT&T Gives Franke Artemis Group Maximum Flexibility for International Growth
Frankfurt, Germany, May 08, 2012
Franke Artemis Group (Franke), a Swiss-based provider of kitchen systems, is renewing its agreement for a wide area network (WAN) from AT&T*, as well as adding web security services to improve efficiencies across the organization as it centralizes its IT infrastructure. AT&T will be Franke’s global WAN operator for a further three years.
- Franke is a Swiss-based global provider of intelligent systems for domestic kitchens, professional food service, beverage delivery and hygiene solutions. It employs approximately 10,000 staff worldwide and operates in more than 81 subsidiaries in 40 countries, including Germany.
- Since 2003, AT&T has operated a global WAN, using a worldwide IP-based virtual private network for Franke.
- The contract renewal extends the previous services through the addition of AT&T Web Security Services.
With the aim of increasing efficiencies and freeing time to focus on core activities, including growing new business, Franke looked to AT&T’s WAN and security solutions to help centralize its IT infrastructure.
Franke employees now have access anywhere to mission-critical applications. The use of mobile end devices has also been integrated. AT&T Web Security Services ensure a secure and high performing corporate network. This solution prevents the invasion of viruses and spyware into the corporate network and enables the secure and controlled use of the internet as well as instant messaging services.
“We were particularly impressed by AT&T’s reliable performance in recent years. The global availability of the network is essential for our daily business and AT&T has proven that its flexible solutions make it the ideal partner for our expansion into new business fields,” said Peter Kaufmann, CIO of Franke.
