AT&T Receives Top Honors for Continued Commitment to Diverse Suppliers
AT&T Global Supplier Diversity Organization recognized with three national awards

Today more than ever, AT&T* continues to accelerate the pace of innovation by working with diverse suppliers who can take AT&T to the next level. As a result, AT&T’s Global Supplier Diversity Organization has been recognized among America’s top corporations leading the way for minority business enterprises with three national awards:
- Women Business Enterprise National Council - Top Corporations for Women Businesses
The only national award honoring corporations for world class programs that level the playing field for women’s business enterprises (WBEs) to compete for corporate business.
- DiversityBusiness.com – Top 50 corporations for Multicultural Businesses ‘Div 50’
AT&T ranked #2 out of more than 1,300,000 diversity-owned businesses in an online election to determine the “Top” fifty. Companies honored provided the most business opportunities to diverse business owners throughout the U.S.
- Dallas Minority Supplier Development Council –Buy Those That Buy UsTM
AT&T was amongst corporations honored for work in the utilization and development of minority-owned businesses in the North Texas area.
AT&T continues to look for diverse suppliers in key strategic areas like mobile Internet, wireless, U-verse, and cloud services. The supplier diversity organization spent more than $12.8 billion with minority, women and disabled-veteran suppliers in 2012, representing 23.96 percent of the company’s procurement base. AT&T’s goal is to always achieve 21.5 percent of its procurement from diverse suppliers.
