AT&T U-verse TV Launches Time Life Channels

Direct Response Channels will mix entertainment content with direct response advertising

Dallas, Texas, February 27, 2014

AT&T* U-verse® TV customers can soon “relive the moments” from classic TV and music of the 60s, 70s and 80s – and even buy their favorites – with the launch of the Time Life Channel today.

The Time Life Channel will mix entertainment with direct response advertising. The programming will be available on Channels 229 and 359 in standard definition and 1229 and 1359 in high definition in the U-family and above packages.

“The Time Life brand instantly conveys quality and trust,” said Chris Hearing of Direct Holdings. “Our customers enjoy watching the shows and often ask to purchase them in addition to the music collections advertised. Now they can tune in, watch, listen and buy their favorite collections.”

The Time Life Channel will provide a deep portfolio of shows in six key genres and offer diverse programs: ClassicTV, Rock, Pop, Country, Oldies and Urban. Time Life will also offer nostalgic TV shows in entertaining packages, including The Dean Martin Variety Show, The Carol Burnett Show, The Six Million Dollar Man and Get Smart.

“The Time Life Channel brings AT&T U-verse customers a blast from the past with a bevy of memorable shows and great music. Our customers can relive the moments of decades past with this new addition to our lineup,” said Lee Culver, vice president, Video Development, AT&T U-verse TV.

AT&T U-verse is the fastest growing TV provider in the U.S.** with a $13 billion annualized revenue stream in less than seven years since its initial launch in 2006.
