Grundfos Network Flows With AT&T

San Antonio, Texas, December 12, 2005

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Grundfos Group, one of the world's leading water pump manufacturers, has expanded its global networking agreement with AT&T Inc. to include Grundfos sites in China.

This agreement seals the Danish company's 15th anniversary of working with AT&T. Terms of the contract were not announced.

AT&T provides Grundfos with an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) to integrate locations across Europe, Canada, United States, Mexico, Australia, Taiwan and now China, reflecting the Danish company's global expansion.

With an annual production of over 10 million pump units, Grundfos utilizes AT&T's global network to support the transfer of business-critical data between its global production and distribution facilities, including SAP applications, e-mail traffic, Internet access and voice services using Voice over IP (VoIP). The network uses Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology in the backbone, providing Grundfos with the flexibility of any-to-any connectivity and prioritization of business-critical applications.

Eli Schroeder, Infrastructure Manager at Grundfos headquarters, said: "We have found AT&T to be a consistently highly professional and value-focused company. Our long-term relationship continues to offer reliable and highly advanced networking solutions that can accommodate the geographic expanse of our business and support our day-to-day operations. Moving into a key market like China is critical for us and AT&T has been able to demonstrate it has the network reach and ability to serve our needs there."

Bill Archer, President of AT&T EMEA, concluded: "We have supported Grundfos through business and technology changes over the years and we will continue to provide them with leading networking solutions. As their requirements and business evolve, we'll make sure we are there to support their needs around the world."
