AT&T Announces New Contract with Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin
Prominent East Coast Law Firm Taps AT&T to Deliver Advanced Network Services
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 24, 2006
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new contract to provide upgraded network services to Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin (MDWC&G), a private law corporation with headquarters in Philadelphia and regional offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio and Florida.
Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will implement a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) private network linking the firm's 17 offices. The MPLS network serves as a backbone technology, delivering a private IP-based network, prioritizing network traffic and enabling easier use of various communications services, such as videoconferencing and audioconferencing.
AT&T's MPLS network includes more than 1,500 nodes with service availability in more than 127 countries. To streamline the convergence of the firm's data and voice services, AT&T will also deploy two Managed Internet Service (MIS) hubs. These hubs will enable easier, cost-efficient network management.
This solution further provides increased network reliability and security, complementing AT&T's customer-focused convergence strategy and enabling MDWC&G to seamlessly integrate future applications and communications services.
Commenting on this new contract, Thomas Bond, director of client relations and development at MDWC&G, stated, "In order for our firm to remain the firm of choice for many large national and international corporations and insurance carriers, we must offer state-of-the-art technologies and the convenience and efficiencies they provide. We are confident that this new contract with AT&T will play an important role in our continuing efforts to stay ahead of the curve in the area of technology."
