AT&T Announces New Enterprise Hosting Agreement with AcXess, Inc.
AT&T Delivers Data Center Services to Business-Continuity Solutions Provider
Boca Raton, Florida, September 13, 2006
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new contract with AcXess, Inc. (OTCBB:INIV) in which AT&T will provide enterprise data-center services. AcXess is a provider of managed business-continuity solutions that enable resilience for critical IT infrastructure and that allow firms of almost any size to avoid loss of operational capabilities and revenue during natural or man-made emergency situations.
Under the terms of the two-year contract, AT&T will provide AcXess with a fully managed hosting environment, which is built around AT&T's telco-grade facilities that are hardened with multiple layers of reliability, security and core system redundancy. The physical hosting environment is designed to eliminate single points of failure with multiple fiber entrances, multiple backup power feeds and uninterruptible power supply.
"We selected AT&T as our data-center partner because our customers depend on us to provide superior performance and services, especially during emergency situations. AT&T's facilities and network are unmatched, and we share a strong commitment to delivering the best solutions available in the market," said Tom Elowson, president of AcXess Inc.
Within the network environment, AT&T's network disaster-recovery capabilities enable AT&T to deliver recovered data and voice service to customers in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. Using automated tools, such as Real Time Network Routing (RTNR) and FASTAR® (fast automatic restoration), AT&T's disaster-recovery experts can route communications traffic around an affected area.
This solution not only provides AcXess with increased network reliability and security but also aligns with AT&T's customer-focused convergence strategy, enabling AcXess to seamlessly upgrade or integrate future communications services.
