AT&T Expands Services to Tri-State Truck Center
Truck Dealer Upgrades Network Infrastructure With AT&T Services
Memphis, Tennessee, October 18, 2006
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new contract to provide networking services to Tri-State Truck Center Inc., a Memphis-based award-winning Mack truck dealer and maintenance provider. Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will provide its Integrated Network Connectivity Services (INCS) at Tri-State Truck Center's headquarters, seven full-service locations, and several subdealers and maintenance shops in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
AT&T INCS enables dynamic allocation of bandwidth between voice, data and IP services on a single access circuit. In alignment with AT&T's convergence strategy, this solution will enable the company to maximize its use of circuit capacity, allowing more traffic to be carried over fewer high speed access lines. As a result, Tri-State will have greater traffic capacity at a lower cost compared with standard T1 lines, freeing bandwidth to support future business needs.
The solution also incorporates automatic fail-over and will be fully managed by AT&T to help alleviate overuse of the company's current data-network routers.
"Utilizing INCS and having AT&T manage our network will provide Tri-State with multiple advantages," said Bob Myers, chief financial officer of Tri-State Truck Center. "This solution will improve our confidence in the capacity and reliability of our systems, enhance our bottom line and help accommodate our future growth."
