C&A Industries Selects AT&T for Expanded Communications Network
Staffing Company Turns to AT&T for Scalable Solution
Omaha, Nebraska, December 13, 2006
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced that C&A Industries, a national staffing-services company based in Omaha, Neb., has awarded a new contract for network services to AT&T. C&A has nine divisions, with office locations in Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri.
C&A requested from AT&T a scalable network solution that is both reliable and capable of supporting company-to-customer and internal data exchange applications.
Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will serve as the primary network, data services and Internet provider for C&A Industries. AT&T will provide AT&T Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Private Network Transport (PNT) to C&A's headquarters and remote locations, providing increased bandwidth across a converged, Internet Protocol (IP)-based network. AT&T's solution will improve the speed at which large amounts of data move among locations by providing Multilink Point-to-Point Protocol (MLPPP). AT&T's solution also includes local and long distance voice services and AT&T Internet Services.
These services will be supported by AT&T's highly secure IP backbone and will form a converged network solution uniting every C&A location to a single, IP-based network.
"As a staffing company, C&A relies heavily on person-to-person communication, so our communications network must be robust enough to keep up with our needs and meet our high standards," said Tim Trusler, chief information officer, C&A Industries. "AT&T possesses the experience as well as the flexibility to equip us with a solution that will support our continued success."
