CORESTAFF Services and AT&T Extend Relationship

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced that CORESTAFF Services, a leading staffing services company, has selected AT&T to implement and manage an upgrade of its network services. The three-year $1.7 million contract extends and expands an existing relationship.
Under terms of the agreement, AT&T will implement managed Virtual Private Network (VPN) services using Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology to connect 73 CORESTAFF sites across North America. The network upgrade, which replaces CORESTAFF's six-year-old Frame Relay network, provides significant improvements in network speed and reliability.
"Due to the ever-changing requirements of the staffing industry, the amount of data flowing through our network has quadrupled over the past six years, and it was becoming increasingly challenging to manage the peaks," said Dan DiGregorio, chief information officer of CORESTAFF. "AT&T's managed VPN is so fast that our users enjoy consistent response time and the network monitoring system gives us the ability to examine real-time and historical network performance."
AT&T's VPN services will provide any-to-any connectivity for all CORESTAFF locations while providing Class of Service and Multicasting, which are required in order to effectively deliver their applications.
Much of the traffic on CORESTAFF's network consists of sophisticated human resources and financial applications, which serve as the company's lifeblood. With improved network speed and reliability, CORESTAFF can effectively manage demand among the company's client companies for temporary associates and ensure accurate, reliable time capture and reporting.
