AT&T to Provide Converged Network Services for Weston Foods, Inc.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced that Weston Foods, Inc. (Weston), a leading provider of baked goods from well-known brands that include Entenmann's®, Stroehmann®, Freihofer®, Boboli®, Arnold® and Thomas'®, has awarded AT&T a three-year contract to provide high-capacity data services, specialized equipment and network support. AT&T will converge Weston's video, voice, Internet and data applications onto a single managed services network and provide high speed bandwidth to support these mission-critical applications. Specific terms of the contract were not disclosed.
To manage the increasing demands of a growing customer base over a large geographic territory, Weston needed a solution that would allow its employees in more than 300 different locations to communicate efficiently with their customers, consumers and business partners. To achieve this goal, AT&T will upgrade Weston's network to IP-enabled Frame Relay, Managed Router Service and Frame & ATM Plus, providing higher speeds, among other benefits.
AT&T's cost-effective solution will enable Weston to move internal resources from support to activities that are more value-added.
