AT&T, RIM, Antenna Software and CRM Media Host Wireless CRM Seminars
Seminar Series Provides Insight From Top Industry Analyst and Customers

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced that AT&T, along with Research in Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq:RIMM; TSX:RIM) — maker of the BlackBerry® wireless solution — Antenna Software and CRM Media, will host several customer relationship management (CRM) seminars for enterprises this summer. The seminars are free to businesses that are considering wireless CRM implementations or seeking to learn more about the capability.
"The convergence of field sales applications and the wireless revolution is vital for today's enterprises," said Sheryl Kingstone, director of Enterprise Research Group, Yankee Group and keynote speaker at the events. "Enterprises can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force by implementing mobile solutions that deliver on the vision of a 360-degree view of the customer."
AT&T, RIM and Antenna Software provide collaborative wireless CRM solutions and have joined with CRM Media to provide an educational forum for business and information technology (IT) managers. The seminars will feature expert commentary, industry best practices and software demonstrations from a variety of end-user, analyst and vendor speakers, including:
- Sheryl Kingstone, director, Enterprise Research Group, Yankee Group — Analysis of the CRM industry, wireless enablement and adoption rates
- Erik Walters, manager, Sales Operations, DIRECTV — Case study detailing drivers and impact of a wireless CRM solution
- David Myron, Editorial Director, CRM Magazine — CRM industry overview of timely issues, challenges and practices
- AT&T — IT selection criteria for CRM projects
- Antenna Software — Enterprise mobility software best practices
- RIM — Device considerations
"Equipping the sales force with tools to manage customer information in the field helps ensure up-to-the-minute data accuracy and, by reducing required office work, allows the sales force to see more clients each day," said Laura Johnson, executive director-Enterprise Solutions, AT&T's wireless unit. "Wireless brings a distinct competitive advantage because sales executives can immediately respond to customer needs."
Five wireless CRM seminars will be conducted in July and August. Four of the seminars will be held in person, and each attendee will receive a free BlackBerry 8800TM handset. The additional seminar will be hosted online for sales, sales operations and IT managers located in other parts of the country who are unable to travel. The seminar schedule is as follows:
- New Brunswick, N.J. — July 17, Heldrich Hotel, 9 a.m. – noon
- Boston — July 19, Langham Hotel, 9 a.m. – noon
- Chicago — July 24, Hotel Monaco, 9 a.m. – noon
- San Francisco — July 26, Mission Bay Conference Center, 9 a.m. – noon
- Online webinar — Aug. 1, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
