AT&T Wins $2.16 Million Contract for Integrated Network Services from Herff Jones
Manufacturer of Products That Promote Recognition, Education and Motivation Enhances Operational and Internet Efficiencies With One Simple Contract From AT&T

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced that Herff Jones has awarded AT&T a three-year $2.16 million contract for a suite of managed, integrated network services. The agreement for AT&T Business Network (ABN) integrated solutions includes long distance and local voice service, managed Internet service (MIS) and Virtual Private Network (VPN) services.
ABN services are designed to accommodate growth in communications and networking needs and to allow effortless shifts in technology to quickly meet the demands of a 24/7 global marketplace. ABN brings Herff Jones' corporate and Web network services together to streamline operations as another year of academic and athletic milestones drives its in-person and Web business.
Herff Jones has been a valued provider to high schools, college campuses, playing fields and other arenas around the country. Herff Jones, an Indianapolis-based corporation in its 88th year in business, is a leading manufacturer and publisher of educational products, recognition awards and graduation-related items for the school market in North America. The Herff Jones product lines include yearbooks, class rings, medals and awards, diplomas, graduation announcements, caps and gowns, school photography and instructional materials.
Approximately 4,000 employees manufacture Herff Jones products in 19 U.S. plants. Those products are sold through a network of 800 sales representatives. Herff Jones is one of the nation's leading 100 percent employee-owned corporations and employs approximately 560 employees in the Indianapolis area.
A large portion of Herff Jones' orders and data traffic comes through its Web site. Herff Jones' AT&T MIS services are optimized and provide reliable transport across the Web. AT&T's experts proactively monitor the Herff Jones network and provide end-to-end management to maintain Herff Jones' reliable Internet access. Herff Jones' MIS services also are backed by around-the-clock customer support, easing the management headaches associated with heavy Internet use.
While enhancing Herff Jones' Web traffic, AT&T also connects the company's 19 national locations with AT&T's Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based VPN services. Enabling wide area network connectivity, AT&T's VPN services let Herff Jones efficiently meet the connectivity demands from its employees. The MPLS architecture creates a highly scalable backbone that sets up Herff Jones to easily be available for this year's moments of achievements and meet the demands of the future.
