Mauser Upgrades Network with AT&T Private Network Transport Services

Bedminster, New Jersey, March 4, 2008

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a networking services contract with Mauser Inc., a leading developer of tailor-made packaging solutions for hazardous or delicate goods. Under terms of the multiyear agreement, AT&T will migrate Mauser from its existing managed services — provided over Frame Relay — to a managed Private Network Transport (PNT) solution on AT&T's Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based network.

AT&T's PNT solution will provide Mauser with a secure, flexible network that can accommodate the upcoming addition of a secondary data center to support business continuity. With all data transferred securely on AT&T's global Internet Protocol (IP) network, Mauser will benefit from increased security and efficiency of data transfers throughout its 14-site network.

In addition, the PNT network will provide Mauser with ample bandwidth to accommodate high levels of network traffic and support disaster-recovery initiatives. In the event of a primary data center disaster, all of Mauser's sites will be able to easily access data that is securely stored in the secondary data center.
