Dallas, Texas, January 23, 2009
AT&T Business Solutions today announced that the AT&T Wholesale organization received four 2009 Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research consultancy and benchmarking firm. The awards were announced this week at the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) '09 Conference & Exhibition in Honolulu.
The awards are based on hundreds of wholesale customer evaluations of global carriers for the 2009 edition of ATLANTIC-ACM's Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card — the global wholesale industry's principal benchmarking study.
AT&T Wholesale won awards in the following categories:
- Customer Service
- Voice Quality
"Not only did AT&T Wholesale win an impressive number of awards, but they also won or led several areas that we consider key drivers of customer satisfaction. The 2009 Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card offers insight into the global wholesale carriers through over 1,200 ratings of carriers by their wholesale customers. Wholesale providers gain understanding of their market positions with respect to areas such as billing, provisioning, network, customer service and pricing. Wholesale customers gain access to carrier profiles detailing their product offerings as well as individual providers' strengths and weaknesses. A comprehensive overview of the wholesale industry is included in the study.
In 2008, AT&T Wholesale extended its network deployment and management expertise to service provider customers in various parts of the world, establishing consultative business relationships that allow local or regional carriers to tap into lessons learned by the company over its more than a century of service. AT&T Wholesale's experience in implementing industry best practices and automating and streamlining processes helps carrier customers improve both quality of service and reliability. AT&T Wholesale's portfolio of consulting and professional services offers serves the needs of wholesale clients by helping them drive new opportunities or improvements in their own businesses. These focus areas include business continuity and disaster recovery, IT transformation and service management, unified communications, advanced IP infrastructure, security and IPTV assessment.
