AT&T Supports Efforts to Help Protect U.S. IT Infrastructure During Cyber Security Awareness Month
AT&T Investing in Network Security, Communicating Importance of Cybersecurity Issues for Governments, Businesses and Consumers

In its ongoing commitment to communicating the importance of cybersecurity issues, AT&T* has announced its support for National Cyber Security Awareness Month, an initiative led by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to raise awareness of cybersecurity among governments, businesses and consumers. AT&T delivers a suite of security and business continuity services to help assess vulnerabilities, protect infrastructure, detect attacks and respond to suspicious activities and events. This year alone, AT&T plans to invest between $17 to $18 billion in its wireless and wireline networks. This investment will help AT&T meet the rapid global expansion of advanced information technology and services, in addition to enhancing reliability and security.

Since October 2001, the National Cyber Security Alliance has worked with DHS and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) to conduct this national public awareness campaign to encourage Internet users to educate themselves on practices that will help keep their private information, computers and cyber infrastructure secure.
AT&T has committed its support to this important initiative through its robust suite of Security & Business Continuity services, proactive educational events held throughout the month and support for national online safety and security organizations like the iKeepSafe Coalition and the National Cyber Security Alliance. Additionally, AT&T is pleased to announce that Chris Boyer, Assistant Vice President, Public Policy, has joined the National Cyber Security Alliance board.
