SBC Yahoo! DSL and Dial Subscribers to Receive Huge Boost in Email Storage Capacity

San Antonio, Texas, March 23, 2005

Underscoring their commitment to continually enhance SBC Yahoo! DSL and Dial services, SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC) and Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) today announced plans to significantly upgrade — for no additional charge -- the email storage capacity for SBC Yahoo! DSL and Dial subscribers.

Beginning in early May, SBC Yahoo! customers will have 2 gigabytes (GB) of storage for each of their 10 available email sub-accounts, as well as their main email account, bringing the total potential storage capacity for a family or small business to 22 gigabytes.

The new e-mail storage levels are enough to hold up to 22 million pages of email, more than 20,000 photos or 4,000 songs.

The increase is 20 times the email storage previously offered for sub-accounts, which subscribers can establish for up to 10 family members.

Last year, the companies began offering the same industry-leading 2GB of email storage for SBC Yahoo! subscribers' main accounts.

"We continue to add value to our SBC Yahoo! services, whether through great features or great prices," said Scott Helbing, senior vice president, SBC consumer marketing. "We continually challenge consumers to do the math because we're confident they won't find a better value for Internet service on the market."

"We know that people are using their SBC Yahoo! Mail accounts to send and store more attachments, photos and important messages than ever before," said Andy Spillane, vice president, Yahoo! Mail. "By providing 2GB of storage for each sub-account, we hope to make SBC Yahoo! Mail an even more essential part of people's lives."

Earlier this month, SBC Communications announced that new residential customers who order SBC Yahoo! DSL Express service with speeds of up to 1.5 megabits per second (Mbps) online through sbc.com or sbc.yahoo.com will receive 12 months of the popular high-speed Internet access service for only $19.95 a month (other monthly charges apply). The price requires only a one-year term commitment and SBC local phone service.

Customers who crave more speed can get the super-fast SBC Yahoo! DSL Pro service with speeds of up to 3 Mbps for just $29.99 a month (other monthly charges apply).

SBC Yahoo! DSL subscribers can enjoy their service on-the-go via SBC FreedomLink Wi-Fi service, available at no-charge until May 31, and pay only $1.99 a month thereafter.
