AT&T Supplies New Hardware and MPLS-based IP Network Services to Provide US Airways With Powerful Tools That Will Connect Hundreds of Airline Locations Worldwide

Tempe, Arizona, October 4, 2006

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today that AT&T has broadened its relationship with US Airways Group Inc. (NYSE: LCC) by agreeing to a $7 million networking equipment agreement. In January 2006 the two companies affirmed a long-standing relationship in which AT&T helped US Airways consolidate the network infrastructure of two separate airlines into one.

Under terms of the agreement, AT&T will provide US Airways with Cisco hardware equipment bundled with its next-generation MPLS-based IP network to service more than 230 airport locations. AT&T's next-generation network will provide US Airways with a sophisticated communications solution designed to support the current and emerging technology needs of the airline industry. The AT&T solution is focused on providing US Airways with a reliable, secure and flexible network infrastructure designed to better serve its customers.

"This is an exciting time for both the new AT&T and new US Airways," said Joe Beery, US Airways' senior vice president and chief information officer. "We are committed to offering our customers and employees the best tools and services available. AT&T has provided us with excellent solutions in the past to meet this goal. With this exciting new technology in place, we are poised to deliver outstanding service to our customers. We look forward to a great continued relationship with AT&T."

The agreement renews and extends the decadelong relationship between US Airways and AT&T.
