AT&T Wins Contract With Jenner & Block

New Agreement Consolidates Services Across Firm Offices

Chicago, Illinois, October 31, 2006

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new contract with Jenner & Block, LLP, a national law firm with more than 400 attorneys offering comprehensive legal services to a broad range of clients.

Under the terms of the three-year agreement, AT&T will deliver AT&T Business Network (ABN) integrated services and a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network solution customized to prioritize data with added security.

Targeted toward midsize business customers, AT&T's ABN solution bundles data, Internet, local, long distance and international voice services into a discounted package. ABN customers can make service changes and monitor network performance online.

In addition, MPLS technology enables the creation of an IP virtual private network, increasing the privacy and integrity of data as it travels across the network. MPLS technology provides inherent disaster-recovery capabilities and an efficient migration path to Voice over IP (VoIP) services.

AT&T's solution not only provides increased network reliability and security but also aligns with AT&T's customer-focused convergence strategy, enabling to seamlessly integrate future applications across offices.

Jenner & Block can also monitor the performance of its network and applications through the secure AT&T customer portal, AT&T BusinessDirect®, which provides operational efficiencies, including around-the-clock online access to real-time reports on network performance and direct connection to trouble-management systems. Yankee Group recently named AT&T BusinessDirect the best enterprise customer portal for the second consecutive year for providing customers with the strongest online support and services experience in the industry (Source: Yankee Group, Business E-Portals Continue to Evolve to Meet Enterprise Customer Needs, April 2006).

"We are pleased with the flexibility offered by AT&T's solutions. It will allow us to quickly create connectivity with our other offices with the added security of data integrity and confidentiality we need to best serve our clients," said Melvin Ostrow, chief information officer of Jenner & Block.
