AT&T's wireless customers across the country can use their phones to share live video and audio of the moments in their lives using an innovative 3G service called Video Share, the first service of its kind in the United States. Video Share enables one-way, live streaming video feeds that can be seen by both users during a two-way conversation. Beginning with a normal wireless phone call, customers can hit one button to add a live video stream. Once a Video Share call has been initiated, the service allows customers to switch the direction of the video stream during the same phone call. AT&T Video Share is the first application to use the company's emerging Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) platform. This platform will be used to deliver a range of new Internet Protocol (IP)-based services. Services such as Video Share will be accessible over any of the three screens — the wireless device, the PC and the television — enabling AT&T customers to seamlessly access services and content over both wireless and wireline network connections.
