  • ATT20081218L.2 rev1

  • ATT20090713L.1
AT&T California is announcing that The Oakland, California, OKLDCA0349T 4ESS tandem serving LATA 722 has been scheduled for decommissioning by May 31, 2011. All carriers, (Independent LECs, Wireless Service Providers, CLECs, Interexchange Carriers and IP-enabled Voice Information Service (IP-VIS) providers) that have trunking to this tandem will be affected by this change. All carriers need to move their traffic to the Oakland, California, OKLDCA0302T Nortel CS2000 switch. The OKLDCA0302T access tandem was placed in-services in 2001 as the relief switch for OKLDCA0349T and is now the replacement tandem. Most carriers already have trunking to OKLDCA0302T which serves primarily the Oakland/East Bay cities. Cutovers will be coordinated via Accessible Letters, Cutover Project Manager and AT&T Account Teams.
  • ATT20090515S.1
AT&T California is announcing that Copper Facilities which serve route 1 in the Anderson, CA wire center (ARSNCA11) will be replaced with fiber fed digital loop carrier system. AT&T currently has 3000 copper lines in the existing bridge, serving 1988 assigned lines in fourteen distribution areas on the north side of the Sacramento River. Replacement in kind of existing copper cables is not feasible. The new structure will not be available for AT&T'S usage in the new bridge until September 2009 "the must vacate" date for the existing bridge. This new substructure length exceeds the allowable distance for the (sized) required copper cables and will not be constructed in adequate amount of time for AT&T to utilize. A temporary fiber cable will be placed across the river and all existing working services will be cutover to derived pairs from four new RT's to meet the proposed vacate date of September 2009, all under the following projects: CSA 1233 (this project); CSA 1202 (7229348); CSA 1216 (7229378); AND CSA 1222 (7229364). The current loop length is 23.5kkft and after this project the estimated copper loop length will be 7.6kft.
  • ATT20090512L.1
AT&T California is announcing that Copper Facilities which feed an area in Vallejo, CA. known as Mare Island (former U.S. Naval Shipyard) working out of the (VLLJCA01) wire center will be replaced with fiber fed digital loop carrier. 2700 copper pairs terminate in a building on the island which served as the Primary MPOE until the Mare Island Naval Shipyard was decommissioned in the 1990's. Private businesses, along with commercial and residential developers, are now occupying the island. AT&T installed fiber to the island for fiber-based service requests and to support NGDLC at the MPOE location as the most economic platform for growth. Air pressure on the existing underground air-core cables is being provided by antiquated compressor/dryers that can no longer reliably support service; current defective rate is 25%. Transfer of copper loops to NGDLC and removal of copper feeder to the island MPOE will reduce maintenance activities, provide more reliable service, and improve transmission at less cost.
The effected locations are within Distribution Areas 430150 of the Vallejo Main Wire Center. Currently total copper loop length is 26.1 Kf and after this project the total copper loop length will be 10.6 Kf.
  • ATT20090421L.1
AT&T California is announcing that copper facilities feeding CSA 3306 along Security Park Dr, Rancho Cordova in the Folsom-Nimbus (FLSMCA12) wire center will be replaced with fiber fed digital loop carrier. Existing loaded and repeatered segment of copper cable over an old pole lead on private Aerojet property experiences repeated failures and maintenance trouble reports. Area business customers consistently report service trouble and transmission issues. This plan calls for improving and upgrading service to a growing business/industrial area by investing in new, modern loop transmission facilities, thereby improving existing telephone service and high-speed data service offerings.
  • ATT20081218L.1

All carriers, (Independent LECs, Wireless Service Providers, CLECs, Interexchange Carriers and IP enabled Voice Information Service (IP-VIS) providers) that have trunking to this tandem will be affected by this change. All carriers need to move their traffic to the Los Angeles, California, LSANCA0527TNortel CS2000 switch by October of 2009.
  • ATT20080717S.1

This feeder section is along on Hwy 1, located between Salinas Rd and Jensen Rd in the Watsonville WTVLCA01 serving wire center. State of California Cal Trans is widening Hwy 1 requiring AT&T to move our poles to the other side of the road. We currently have a fiber cable feeding this section of route 3. An economic study determined it would be more cost effective for AT&T to abandon the copper cable and place a UMC 1000, 240D cabinet fed by the existing fiber over placing 7,500 sheath feet of 600 pair 24 gauge copper cable.
  • ATT20080710S.1
AT&T California announces that in the Downieville, CA Wire Center (DWNVCA11), they will be replacing all Copper Feeder along Highway 49 from Ramshorn Road to Brandy City Road West, North and South along this route to the Downieville Wire Center Boundary with a fiber fed NGDLC system. Highway 49 is considered a scenic highway and the State of California will no longer approve permits for any work along this route. The copper cable being retired was placed in 1956 and is in an area which currently presents unsafe working conditions for AT&T technicians.
