Here is an example of an AT&T customer who deployed Nortel IPT solutions with AT&T networking:

A statewide credit union with 17 branch offices needed to evolve to an IP Telephony solution. AT&T designed and implemented an IP Telephony network consisting of a Nortel Communications Server 1000 in the main office and the Business Communications Manager in each branch office, all held together by AT&T IP VPN Solution. This customer realized additional productivity and customer service gains from centralized voice messaging, automatic failover across the IP network and home based agents that can spring into action through IP softphones. And that was in addition to the cost savings that come from managing a single converged voice and data network.
