This tutorial walks you through steps that you can take to force sync your Google Account if you are experiencing sync issues or receive a message similar to, “Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.”

From the Settings app, scroll to and tap System.

Tap Date & time.

Tap or slide the Set time automatically switch to OFF.
4.
Tap Date.
Set your device's date something other than the current date.
5.
Tap Time.
Set your device's time something other than the current time.
6.
Tap or slide the Set time zone automatically switch to OFF.
7.
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to return to the Home screen.
8.
From the Home screen, drag down the Notification panel.
9.
Drag down the Quick settings panel.
10.
Tap the Settings icon.
11.
Scroll to and tap System.
12.
Tap Date & time.
13.
Tap or slide the Set time automatically switch to ON.
14.
Tap or slide the Set time zone automatically switch to ON.
