Instructions

RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 Keypad Layout 

Create a new contact
  1. On the Home screen, scroll to and select the Contacts icon  (to select, press the trackpad or tap the screen).
  2. Press the Menu key, then select New Contact.
      
      
  3. Enter the desired contact information in the corresponding fields.
      
      
  4. Press the Menu key, then select Save
    NOTE: Alternatively, tap the Save icon .
          
Save a contact from the call log
  1. Press the Phone/Send key.
  2. Select the Call Log tab. 
      
      
  3. Scroll to and highlight the desired phone number.
       
       
  4. Press the Menu key, then select Add To Contacts.
      
      
  5. Edit the desired contact information in the corresponding fields.
      
      
  6. Press the Menu key, then select Save.
    NOTE: Alternatively, tap the Save icon .
       
Save a contact from an e-mail
  1. On the Home screen, open the All tray, then scroll to and select the Messages icon  (to select, press the trackpad or tap the screen).
  2. Scroll to and select the desired e-mail message.
      
      
  3. Scroll to and highlight the "From" field.
      
      
  4. Press the Menu key, then select Add To Contacts.
       
      
  5. Edit the desired contact information in the corresponding fields.
    NOTE: Some information may already be included, depending on the e-mail address selected.
      
      
  6. Press the Menu key, then select Save
