RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 Keypad Layout
   
Procedure
  1. On the Home screen, scroll to and select the Contacts icon  (to select, press the trackpad or tap the screen).
  2. Press the Menu key, then select Options.
      
      
  3. Scroll to and select one of the following options: 
      
      
    • Contacts Options
      • Contacts Display and Actions
        1. The Contacts Options screen will be displayed.
           
           
        2. In the following fields, scroll to and select the desired option:
          Field Option Default
          Sort by Configure how the contacts are sorted.First name
          SeperatorsConfigure contact list seperation indicator.Lines
          Allow Duplicate Names Configure whether duplicate names can be created.Checked
          Confirm Delete Configure whether device will prompt with delete confirmation.Checked
           
        3. Press the Menu key, then select Save.
            
            
    • Contact Lists
         
      • Individual Contact List (BIS Only)
        1. The Contact List Properties screen will be displayed.
           
           
        2. In the following fields, scroll to and select the desired option:
          Field Option Default
          Wireless SynchronizationEnable or disable wireless synchronization.Checked
          Number of EntriesDisplays current number of contact entries in Contacts application.N/A
           
        3. Press the Menu key, then select Save
           
           
      • Desktop (BlackBerry) Contact List (BES Only)
        1. The Contact List Properties screen will be displayed.
           
           
        2. In the following fields, scroll to and select the desired option:
          Field Option Default
          Wireless SynchronizationEnable or disable wireless synchronization.Checked
          Number of EntriesDisplays current number of contact entries in Contacts application.N/A
            
        3. Press the Menu key, then select Save
