RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 Keypad Layout
   
Prerequisites Get directions
  1. On the Home screen, open the All tray, then scroll to and select the AT&T Maps + Nav icon  (to select, press the trackpad or tap the screen).
  2. Scroll to and select Drive To.
     
      
  3. Scroll to and select Address.
      
      
  4. Scroll to and select the desired input method:
    • Manually enter the address
      1. Enter the destination address, then scroll to and select Submit.
          
          
      2. If a partial or incorrent address is entered, scroll to and select the desired address from the list.
          
          
    • Speak in address
      1. Say the desired street address, then city and state.
          
          
      2. If a partial or incorrent address is entered, scroll to and select the desired address from the list.
        NOTE: Press the Escape key to correct an address if needed.
          
           
  5. "Getting GPS" will be displayed.
      
       
  6. The map and directions will be displayed.  Audio directions are announced through the handset's built-in speaker. 
     
View the route summary
  1. Tap Directions from the map.
     
     
  2. The entire list of directions will be displayed. 
     
End the trip prematurely
  1. Press the Menu key from the map, then scroll to and select End Trip.
     
     
  2. "End Trip?" will be displayed.  Select Ok
     
If unable to create a route, troubleshoot accordingly.
