RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 Keypad Layout Create speed dial or 1-touch dialing contact
- From the Home screen, press the Send/Phone key.
- Press the Menu key, scroll to and select View, then select Speed Dial List (to select, press the trackpad or tap the screen).
- The Speed Dial Numbers sceen will be displayed. Scroll to and select an unassigned key.
- Press the Menu key, then select New Speed Dial.
NOTE: Alternatively, press the trackpad or tap the screen.
- Scroll to and select the desired contact.
- If there are multiple phone numbers associated with the contact, scroll to and select the desired number.
- The Speed Dial key will be set to the selected contact.
Edit a speed dial or 1-touch dialing contact
- From the Home screen, press the Send/Phone key.
- Press the Menu key, scroll to and select View, then select Speed Dial List (to select, press the trackpad or tap the screen).
- Scroll to the Speed Dial contact to be edited.
- Press the Menu key, then select the desired option.
- Call: Place a call to the contact that is assigned to that speed dial key.
- Edit: Change the contact that is assigned to that speed dial key.
- Move: Assign the contact to a different speed dial key.
- Delete: Delete the contact from the speed dial list.
NOTE: The contact will remain in the address book if deleted from the speed dial list.
Place a speed dial or 1-touch dialing call
Press and hold the key pad number or letter that corresponds to the speed dial contact.
NOTE: Speed dial calls can be placed from the Home screen, in the phone application, in a message list or in an open message.
