Use Universal Search with the RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810

The Universal Search feature allows you to search your BlackBerry and the internet in one program.
 

   

Use Universal Search 

1. On the home screen, select .  
2. In the search field, enter the search criteria.
   NOTE: To enter the search criteria verbially, select , and say your criteria, and then select Done.
      
     
3. A list of options will display. To complete the search, select the desired option.
      
      
4. The search results will be displayed, select desired result.
      

Turn the Universal Search feature on

1. On the home screen, open the All tray, and then select . 
2. Select Display.
    
     
3. Select Home Screen Preferences.
    
    
4. In the "Launch by Typing" field, select Universal Search.
    
     
5. Press the Menu key, and then select Save.
     

Configure Universal Search options 

1. From the Search screen, press the Menu key, and then select Search Options.
      
    
2. Check categories you wish to be searched as data sources and what you desire to be extended search providers.
    
    
3. When complete, press the Menu key, and then select Save.
