Connection Status Icons
Active connections are displayed at the top of the home screen.

• Signal Strength:
• The signal strength can be determined by the number of highlighted bars displayed (the more bars, the stronger the signal)  
   
• Data Network:
•  Indicates that the devices is connected to AT&T's HSPA+ network.
  NOTE: 4G speeds delivered by HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul will be available in limited areas. Learn more at www.att.com/network
   
• Wi-Fi:
• Indicates that the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
•  Indicates that Wi-Fi is on but the device is not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
   
• Mobile Hotspot:
•  Indicates BlackBerry Mobile Hotspot is active on the device.
  NOTE: The number of Wi-Fi connections active on the device hot spot will be displayed at the top of the home screen.
     
• Bluetooth:
•  Indicates that Bluetooth is active on the device.
•  Indicates that Bluetooth is paired with another device.
   
•   Near Field Communications:
• : Indicates that NFC is active on the device.

View service status details 

1. From the home screen, open the All tray, and then select .  
2. Select Service Status.
    
     
3. The connection details will display.
