Send or Receive Email with the HTC Windows Phone 8X (PM23300)

Instructions

 

Send email

  1. From the Start screen, tap the desired email account Tile.
     
     
  2. Tap  to create a new email. 
     
       
  3. Enter the recipient's email address and message, and then tap  to send.  
     

Receive email

  1. From the Start screen, tap the desired email account Tile.
    NOTE: The number of new messages will be displayed on the account Tile.   
     
      
  2. Unread messages will be displayed with their subjects highlighted. Tap the desired message to view its contents.  
     
      
  3. The selected message will be displayed, and the following options will be available: 
     
       
    • Open an attachment
      1. Tap the attachment to download it.
      2. Once it has downloaded, the icon will change to match the file type. Tap the icon to view the attachment. 
      3. For additional options, tap , and then select the desired option. 

 Unable to send or receive email

  1. Verify the device has sufficient wireless signal.
  2. Turn Airplane mode on and back off.
    NOTE:  This will end the current connection and force the device to re-register on the network.
  3. Turn the device off and back on.
  4. If still unable to set up your email account:
    • Confirm your server settings with the email provider, and reattempt.
