Set Up Corporate Exchange Email with the HTC Windows Phone 8X (PM23300)


  1. From the Start screen, tap Email.  
    NOTE: To set up an additional account, from the inbox tap  > Settings > Add account.  
  2. Tap Outlook.
  3. Enter the entire email account address and password, and then tap Sign in.
    • Enter the domain if requested, and then tap Sign in.
      NOTE: For users with a blank domain, leave this field empty, and then tap sign in.
      • If a notification screen is displayed, tap Advanced to enter additional account information.
        NOTE: Tap Try again to edit the previous screen.
      • Enter the remaining account information, and then tap Sign in.
  4. If your corporate email server requires a device security password to be created, a screen similar to the one below may be displayed. If so, tap Set.
    • Enter the desired password, and re-enter the password for confirmation, and then tap Done.
  5. First-time users will be taken to their email inbox. New messages will be downloaded and displayed here.
    NOTE: Users that have previously configured an email account on their device will see the "Email+accounts" screen. 
  6. Test the setup by sending an email.

Troubleshooting tips

  1. Verify the device has sufficient wireless signal.
    • If attempting to connect via Wi-Fi, turn Wi-Fi off, and connect with the AT&T network.
  2. Turn Airplane mode on and back off.
    NOTE:  This will end the current connection and force the device to re-register on the network.
  3. Turn the device off and back on.
  4. If still unable to set up your email account:
    • If proper network connectivity is confirmed, please consult with your IT help desk to confirm the proper settings are used and that your corporate email account is correctly provisioned for this service.  
    • For AT&T network assistance, please contact Customer Care.
