Set Up Personal (POP/IMAP) Email with the HTC Windows Phone 8X (PM23300)


Instructions

  1. From the home screen, tap .
    NOTE: To setup an additional account, from the inbox, tap  > Add email account.  
     
      
  2. Tap the desired email configuration type.
    NOTE: If adding a corporate Microsoft Exchange email account, click here for detailed instructions.
     
     
  3. Enter the entire email account address and password, and then tap Next.
    NOTE: If your phone is unable to automatically verify your email server address and settings, you will be prompted to select the type of email account you use, and follow a manual setup process. For instructions, see this advanced email setup tutorial
     
     
  4. Select the desired account settings, and then tap Sign in.    
     
     
  5. Your email inbox will be displayed.  
     
        
  6. Test the setup by sending an email.

Unable to set up an email account

  1. Verify the device has sufficient wireless signal.
  2. Turn Airplane mode on and back off.
    NOTE:  This will end the current connection and force the device to re-register on the network.
  3. Turn the device off and back on.
  4. If still unable to set up your email account:
    • Confirm your server settings with the email provider, and reattempt. 
    • For AT&T network assistance, please contact Customer Care.
