Optimize Battery Life with the HTC Windows Phone 8X (PM23300)


Instructions

Many factors can contribute to poor battery life from your smartphone. Follow these tips to get the most out of your device: 

  • Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth connections when not in use.
      
  • Use the battery saver option.
    1. From the Start screen, flick to and tap .
    2. Tap Battery saver.
    3. Tap the "Battery saver" toggle to turn on or off.
    4. Tap Advanced, and then tap the desired option:
      • Always turn on Battery Saver when battery is low
      • Turn on Battery Saver now, until next charge
      • Always (not recommended)
          
  • Lower the screen brightness and backlight timeout.
    1. From the Start screen, flick to and tap .
    2. Scroll to and tap Brightness.
    3. Tap Automatically adjust to disable, and then select the desired level.
        
  • Adjust screen timeout settings.
    1. From the Start screen, flick to and tap .
    2. Tap Lock screen.
    3. Flick to and tap Screen times out after, and then select the desired time out period.
        
  • Minimize synchronization settings.
    1. From the Start screen, flick to and tap .
    2. Tap Email + accounts.
    3. Scroll to and tap the desired account.
      NOTE: Sync settings may not be available depending on the type of account.
    4. Tap the desired "Content to sync" options and "Download new content" field, to adjust as desired.
