How to report an unburied wire or exposed cable
Note: Extreme weather or other factors can cause downed lines, including electrical lines. Always call your local authorities in an emergency situation. Never approach a downed wire yourself.
To report unburied cables or exposed wires in the ground
Call the AT&T Buried Wire Center at 800.924.9420, Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET. This phone number is specific to cables in the ground that need to be buried.
To report drooping wires or AT&T equipment left in a yard or on the street
Call 800.288.2020. This option is available 24 hours a day.
Both AT&T customers and non-customers can report using these phone numbers. Customers have the additional option of reporting using Live Chat support.
Some utility companies mark or paint their lines. If the line is marked, but does not say AT&T, please report the uncovered cable directly to that company.
