AT&T Opens New Retail Store in Garden City

Spacious, Interactive Store Features Cutting-Edge Devices

Just in time for the holiday shopping season, AT&T* today marked the opening of a new store in Garden City designed to address the growing demand for advanced wireless and wired products and services.

The new 4,300-square-foot store, located at 3104 E. Kansas Ave. in Garden City, KS, 67846, replaces a smaller store at 1010 West Mary. The new store features a state-of-the-art, hands-on design to engage shoppers and provide a “try before you buy” service experience. Trained consultants will provide demonstrations of a wide range of products and services, including the latest in smartphones and tablets.

Customers can also test drive various wireless data applications, including AT&T Navigator, which provides GPS navigation with turn-by-turn directions, or AT&T Family Map, a family locator service designed to help give parents peace of mind.

“AT&T has a robust lineup of powerful smartphones, tablets and other devices and services to address our customers’ needs, whether it’s for work or entertainment,” said Nancy Garvey, vice president and general manager of AT&T’s Greater Midwest Region. “When customers walk into our retail stores, we’re not just trying to sell them a product - we’re trying to provide them a solution. That’s fulfilling our retail promise.”

AT&T recently implemented its "Retail Promise" program to ensure that customers have the very best in-store shopping experience, based on their needs. The company uses its own wireless technology to quickly capture customers' comments, and posts this information to an internal site for store managers to review.

The new Garden City store is led by Area Retail Sales Manager Bryce Peterson and Store Manager Holly Kalinowski and has a staff trained to assist both consumer and business customers with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. The phone number is 620-272-0383.

The new Garden City store is the latest sign of AT&T’s ongoing investment in western Kansas. In July, AT&T announced enhancement of its mobile broadband network across 43 western Kansas counties, expanding access to advanced wireless services and devices for consumers and businesses in rural parts of the state, including Garden City.  The network enhancements across western Kansas are designed to provide better call reliability and faster data speeds in an area covering approximately 37,000 square miles.

The Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce plans to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the store beginning 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. KKJQ-FM 97.3 is scheduled to conduct a radio remote at the new store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.
