Through a new relationship with Modo Labs, AT&T* has enhanced its Mobile Application Development (MAD) portfolio to help organizations quickly launch and easily manage mobile applications using open source technology.

AT&T has amplified its comprehensive suite of products and services that help businesses and organizations to design, build, deploy, and manage dynamic mobile applications. Modo Labs offers the flexible technology necessary to rapidly develop mobile-first portals and intranets, as well as the mobile communication tools that can keep employees connected.

With AT&T and Modo Labs teaming up, organizations can benefit from the latest enhancements to the AT&T Mobile Application Development portfolio:

  • Open source technology provides efficiencies with application integration, reducing the development and delivery time of mobile applications.
  • Pre-built modules help to simplify complex custom solutions. Modules include features such as calendar/events, directories, maps, news, links to social media and videos, mobile admissions, and a mobile content publisher to help organize an interactive mobile solution in a timely manner.
  • The ability for an organization to extensively customize the user interface to showcase a personalized brand, logo, colors, textures and images.
  • The latest development tools and mobile optimized middleware that create a solution for nearly any smartphone, tablet or operating system.

“We’ve been providing mobile application strategies for several years and, as of the end of 2012, had more than 54,000 business customers using mobile applications,” said Mike Troiano, Vice President, Advanced Mobility Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions. “Our relationship with Modo Labs will help us to provide a unified mobile experience and makes it possible for audiences in the business and education markets to engage and interact through a personalized and intuitive mobile application.”
