Actor Eric Stonestreet Coaches Fans to Show Their True Colors

Dallas, Texas, August 30, 2013

Rejoice – NCAA® Football is finally here and AT&T* is proud to continue as its official wireless provider. This season, AT&T has recruited a new coach, two-time Emmy® winning actor and fanatic Eric Stonestreet, to help NCAA® Football faithful showcase their commitment and earn their way to the game of the week as AT&T Presents #BeTheFan. Also, AT&T will again be a part of ESPN’s College GameDay built by The Home Depot and will continue to sponsor the “AT&T All-America Player of the Week,” “AT&T All-America Player of the Year” and a healthy roster of top rivalry and bowl games. The company will also host the AT&T Fan Zone Tour.

“AT&T is ready to be part of another exciting season of NCAA® Football, and we’re thrilled to offer fans a new way to support their favorite teams with #BeTheFan,” said Mario Artesiano, AT&T Associate Director of Sponsorships. “We’re proud to bring fans so many ways to connect to NCAA® Football, its various conferences and the teams they love via the nation’s fastest and now most reliable 4G LTE network.”**

With #BeTheFan, the coach (Stonestreet) will issue a series of challenges, which will give fans opportunities each week to win backstage passes and a trip to the set of ESPN’s College GameDay. Fans can respond to each challenge using their mobile devices to capture and share photos and videos on Twitter, Vine and Instagram with the hashtag #BeTheFan.***

In addition, the 2013 AT&T Fan Zone Tour will make its collegiate debut on Sept. 14 before that week’s big game at College Station, Texas. The interactive, mobile fan experience will pull up to several of the major collegiate contests on Saturdays and professional games on Sundays this season. There, fans can explore AT&T’s newest services and offerings, play games, win prizes and meet former college greats.

AT&T will also sponsor several bowl games and key NCAA® Football contests this season, including the annual AT&T Red River Rivalry. AT&T will have a considerable presence at this memorable matchup – the 108th meeting between the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas.

Additionally, AT&T will help fans support their favorite players through the “AT&T All-America Player of the Week” and the “AT&T All-America Player of the Year.” Fans can text**** VOTE to 34763 or visit to receive more information on how to help select their favorite nominees each week.
