AT&T Completes Network Integration for CDI Corporation

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, February 6, 2007

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced the completion of a Network Integration services contract for CDI Corporation (CDI), a leading provider of engineering and information technology outsourcing solutions and professional staffing. Under the agreement, AT&T designed and deployed Internet Protocol Telephony (IPT) solutions at three strategic locations — CDI's headquarters in Philadelphia, a call center in West Virginia and the company's Houston facility — allowing CDI to manage its current telephony services in-house and to support future IP-based applications. AT&T's Network Integration team supported each phase of the project including site audits; equipment procurement, installation, configuration; end-user training; conversion; and formal documentation. Specific terms of the contract were not disclosed.

After years of outsourcing telephony services to a third-party vendor, CDI realized that the cost of these services was escalating faster than the business value they were delivering to the company. CDI decided to bring the service back in-house and turned to AT&T to ensure that CDI's capital investments made on technology would be properly aligned with its business strategies.

While initially envisioned as a cost-savings exercise, CDI's IPT project transformed into a business-enabler. By leveraging AT&T's Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled, IP Backbone and a Cisco Call Manager Core, CDI is able to open new offices quickly and to leverage mobile communications options.

"CDI is dedicated to helping our clients improve their profitability and efficiency by providing high-value engineering, IT and staffing outsourcing," said Steve Levenkron, vice president, Enterprise Computing Services of CDI. "The solution implemented by AT&T allows us to improve our own efficiency and free up resources that will translate into better service for our clients."
