AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced that the AT&T Wholesale organization received eight 2007 ATLANTIC-ACM Wholesale Metro Carrier Excellence Awards at the COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2007 Convention & Expo in Dallas. The awards presented Monday evening were based on the results of the second annual Metro Carrier Report Card, which evaluates the performance of metro carriers by their wholesale customers and is based on more than 2,800 individual carrier evaluations.

AT&T Wholesale was voted Best in Class RBOC/ILEC in eight wholesale categories:

  • Brand
  • Transport DSx/OCx
  • Network Performance
  • Metro Ethernet
  • IP VPN
  • Local Voice
  • Metro Wave
  • "The awards that AT&T received highlight the company's ability to consistently deliver quality products and services to its wholesale customers through its strong network and diverse product portfolio," said Judy Reed Smith, CEO, ATLANTIC-ACM. "AT&T continues to invest in its network infrastructure and enables metro carriers to strengthen their own ability to consistently provide high-quality services to their end users."

The ATLANTIC-ACM Metro Carrier Report Card is in its second year and continues to succeed in capturing a dynamic and valuable overview of the wholesale landscape from the customer's perspective. The report card features wholesale customer ratings of carrier performance in metro-specific product and business relationship categories from the past 24 months of service.

"These awards are based on customer feedback and validate the strength and reliability of the AT&T network," said Sherry Charles, vice president, Wholesale Segment Marketing, AT&T Operations, Inc. "Our commitment to our customers includes engaging in an open dialogue, as well as providing an exceptional experience for all six of the wholesale segments that we serve."
