AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced a new three-year $1.4 million contract to provide managed network solutions to Formica Corporation's North American and European operations. A global business leader in the surfacing materials industry, Formica Corporation has nearly 100 years of experience in developing and distributing laminate, metal, stone, veneer and other surface solutions throughout Asia, Europe and North America.

Under the agreement, AT&T will provide its Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) services to Formica Corporation's operations in Canada and the U.S. A long-standing client of network services in Europe, Formica Corporation's extension of its relationship with AT&T will increase its network efficiency and reliability among the company's manufacturing and distribution centers across the world.

In addition, Formica Corporation's network platform in the U.S. enables the use of AT&T Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. The next generation of converged communications services, VoIP will control Formica Corporation's operational expenses through an efficient unified network with high-quality voice communications connecting more than 3,800 manufacturing, sales and distribution employees.

"Throughout the past year, AT&T has shown its superiority in connectivity and network reliability," said Bipin PN, director of Technical Services, Formica Corporation. "Selecting AT&T's managed network solutions and advanced platform technology for our North American and European operations provides us increased efficiency with the ease of use from a single network provider."
